International Trade Analyst

Highly skilled Analyst to join Washington, DC office with substantial experience in U.S. trade remedy proceedings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise supporting clients in antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations before the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support AD/CVD investigations and administrative reviews under U.S. trade laws

  • Analyze and interpret Department of Commerce questionnaires and supplemental requests

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of data submitted by foreign producers and exporters

  • Use SAS to test alternative calculation methodologies and simulate scenarios for dumping margins or subsidy rates

  • Calculate countervailing duty rates based on program-level data and applicable regulations

  • Draft technical memoranda and contribute to client reports with clarity and precision

  • Collaborate with attorneys, economists, and foreign counsel throughout the investigation lifecycle

  • Stay current on U.S. trade policy, legal developments, and changes in Commerce’s methodologies

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in AD/CVD matters before the U.S. Department of Commerce

  • Proficiency in SAS (or similar statistical software) and Excel for trade-related modeling

  • Strong academic credentials in economics, statistics, public policy, or a related field

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Proven attention to detail, accuracy, and deadline management under pressure
