Key Responsibilities:

• Review and approve complex tax returns and government tax examinations.
• Oversee tax preparation for large returns; delegate tasks as necessary.
• Provide technical guidance to tax and A&A staff.
• Represent clients before taxing authorities.
• Participate in client meetings, tax planning, and practice development.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate tax staff; support recruitment and development programs.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing and collections.
• Stay updated on tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• 7–10 years of public accounting experience with increasing tax complexity.
• 2+ years representing clients before taxing authorities.
• 1+ year supervising tax preparers.
• CPA license and AICPA membership in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s in taxation preferred).
• 40+ hours of annual continuing education.

Additional Details:

• Occasional travel; heavy overtime during tax season (Jan–Apr).
• Hybrid schedule, location San Jose, CA
