RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute logistics strategies supporting domestic and international transportation operations.
- Direct inbound and outbound freight activities to ensure efficient, cost-effective product movement.
- Oversee global trade compliance, customs requirements, import/export documentation, and regulatory adherence.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with transportation providers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics partners.
- Manage transportation budgets, analyze freight expenditures, and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
- Establish and monitor logistics performance metrics, including delivery performance, transportation costs, carrier effectiveness, and service quality.
- Proactively resolve transportation challenges, supply chain disruptions, customs issues, and other critical shipping concerns.
- Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Inventory Management, Sales, and Customer Service to align logistics strategies with business goals.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing efficiency, reducing risk, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing logistics team while fostering accountability and professional growth.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Ten or more years of progressive logistics and transportation leadership experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in international logistics, global transportation, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
- Experience utilizing ERP platforms along with transportation, warehouse, and inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical, financial, and operational decision-making capabilities.
- Proven ability to negotiate with carriers and logistics partners while managing vendor relationships.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with a track record of building and developing successful teams.
